Yesterday I have had a presentation with my group and I have to say the experience of group collaboration was very satisfy to me.

The topic of our presentation was “How does merchant banker maintain authority over their security force after the event?” We were pretty confused at the beginning because it is not easy to solve the problem. However our group member Jack proposed that we could design a special glasses which contains lots of functions such as environmental detection. We think it is really good idea because security guard need to be safe so they can have enough time to save their boss when environmental collapse happen , so we decide to create a product based on Jack’s original idea.

Our team decided to use”Shield Lens” as the name of the product, Tanya also designed the logo for our product. After we created logo and name for our glasses, Tanya and Savannah suggested that we could create an Instagram page and website for our glasses because it is more convenient for people to understand our product.

Tanya and I were responsible for the website designing(Tanya was focused on visual design and I need to put content into the page such as paragraph), Savannah was focused on the introduction of our team/product and Jack decided to create some features of our glasses and also made a promotional video.

During the process of group collaboration everyone was really active to discuss with each other, everyone was willing to take advise from others and fix the problem they made. I think it is really important to listen to the opinion from others, we won’t have a satisfied result if everyone only trust their own thought and does not want to make some change for the team.

During the spread out of the covid-19 we won’t have a change to make a face to face meeting which really make our project become difficult. Even though I have had lots of questions during the group assessment, my teammates were very patient in answering all of my questions. To be honest, I didn’t fully understand our topic at the beginning and I really want to thank Tanya for answered my questions by sending voice message( very detailed).

We decide our presentation order when everything is ready, we were also practice our presentation on Discord before the actual presentation. Tanya was decided to turn the stream on because my Internet was not able to do that(I am in China right now), Savannah will type the question in the chat after Tanya asked question to the audience. The whole presentation went smoothly when we were presenting.

For the next group assessment, I would ask my teammates immediately if I don’t understand what should I do in this task so we can spend more time to work together in our project. I want to do more contribution to our team and I can’t wait to work with them again.
